It's feature rich and makes drawing on the iPad a lot of fun. I'm amazed by how responsive the brushes are, and how simple the app is to use. Pro mode includes such features like pro brush editor, color eyedropper, layers, background paper, and a way to import photos. Fortunately, users can try pro mode out for free for an hour to decide if they wish to shell out the extra cash. The free version provides many basic features to create amazing pieces of art, but those who wish for more will need to pay $1.99 to upgrade to the pro mode. Additionally, users can view their sketches as thumbnails and swipe down to send canvases to the trash. When zoomed all the way out, artists can browse all their sketches or swipe up to share their creations by dragging and dropping stamps to send the sketch to various destinations like Facebook, Twitter, or Email. For instance, a two finger swipe to the left or right will undo or redo, pinching the screen helps users browse the canvas while pinching out zooms in closer, a two-finger hold allows them to swipe and move the canvas, and swiping to the left with three fingers clears the canvas. Tayasui Sketches utilizes gestures to help users navigate the app with ease. The drawing tools can be hidden from the screen at any time. What's great is that there aren’t any menus that get in the way or any clutter whatsoever. There are nine tools for users to create masterpieces along with an eraser and a color selector. A blank canvas is presented on the screen, and an array of drawing tools sits to the side. Once opened, users will notice the clean and sharp design. Students could organize their work by assignment type, unit, or month/semester/year. To keep things organized as students create, teachers might want to have students use the folders feature. At first it looks similar to Paper, but its simplicity, well-designed interface, and wide range of drawing tools help to set it apart.
